State Farm agent opens new location, donates $500 to Pikeville emergency shelter

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (MTN) — Jennifer Reynolds State Farm Agent celebrated her new location at 233 Cassidy Boulevard in Pikeville with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Southeast Kentucky Chamber on Wednesday, July 15. In addition to the celebration, Reynolds also presented WestCare Kentucky’s Perry Cline Emergency Shelter in Pikeville with a $500 check.

“We try to be good to our clients,” said Reynolds, during Wednesday’s open house. “A lot of our work now is servicing clients who are already on the books, (those) who have been with us for years and years and we really appreciate them.”

As for the check presentation portion of Wednesday’s event, Reynolds said the $500 came from a grant presented to each State Farm agent in the company “to donate to a worthy community cause” during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We decided to give ours to the WestCare center – homeless shelter – we thought it could be used there,” said Reynolds. “I appreciate a company like that, they’re always trying to help.”
