Third murder victim confirmed dead

MARTIN COUNTY, Ky. — EKB News has confirmed the third victim in what is now a triple-murder investigation has died.

Amber Lockard, 31, of Huddy, was pronounced dead by Pike County Coroner Russell Roberts Tuesday morning.

According to Kentucky State Police Lockard, along with Micah Sammons, 20, of Kimper, and Dereck L. James, 26, of Huddy, were shot and killed Friday in Martin County. Their bodies were found on a strip mine just inside Martin County across the Pike County line.
