PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Progress Pike is now accepting grant applications.

Progress Pike is a new organization out of Pikeville. The group is planning to give back to the community and distribute mini-grants between $150 and $500 for individuals or teams.

Last year around this time, a Neo-Nazi rally came to Pikeville. A lot of organizers joined together for a counter rally. Ultimately, those rallies never happened due to safety reasons and money raised for it is still there. Progress Pike decided to use that money for good in the community.

Applications will be accepted now through April 1st. The grants will be awarded at the Pikeville Unity Celebration on April 28th in Pikeville City Park.
