SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — Officials at Magoffin County Schools report they have stopped a threat that was discovered Thursday night.

In a post on the district’s website, the school system acknowledges that a student made a threat and that they contacted Kentucky State Police to investigate.

The district adds that the student will not be allowed on school property until after the incident is thoroughly investigate.

Officials say they are taking all necessary precautions to keep students safe.
