
PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County man is in jail, after police raided his home and found more than a pound of meth.
Kentucky State Police’s Drug Enforcement Special Investigations unit obtained a search warrant for the home of Edward Carl Ramey, 45, of Paintsville, as part of a drug investigation. During their search, KSP and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office found between 1 and 2 lbs. of meth along with several thousand dollars in cash.
Ramey was arrested and charged with first-degree meth trafficking. That charge carries a sentence of 5-to-10 years in prison, if he is convicted.
Ramey is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, under a $25,000 cash bond.
