Pikeville, KY — A Pike County Grand Jury has returned five indictment charges against a Pikeville man stemming from an incident that occurred earlier this month. On August 7th, Pikeville Police responded to a complaint on Garred Street and arrested 39-year-old Ermel J. Wolford. Officers had to use tasers twice to place Wolford under arrest. The Grand Jury indicted Wolford on Resisting Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substance, Disorderly Conduct, Terroristic Threatening by threatening to commit a crime likely to result in death or serious physical injury to a police officer, and Public Intoxication. An Indictment is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
