HARDY, Ky. — A West Virginia man was arrested Tuesday, after he allegedly fled a roadblock and was later found with large amount of meth.

State troopers had set up a roadblock on Route 319 at Hardy, when Brian Woodson, 45, of Huntington, W.Va., came through.
The officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the car, so they asked him to pull into a nearby church parking lot for further questioning. But as officers walked to his car, they say he peeled out and fled the scene.
That resulted in a chase, which came to an abrupt end when he turned onto Narrows Branch and encountered a dead end.
A search of his car resulted in the discovery of a sock containing a quarter-pound of meth hidden under the car’s hood, along with smaller amounts of fentanyl and marijuana.
Woodson was arrested on charges of trafficking in meth and fentanyl, fleeing police, DUI and numerous other charges.
