Floyd man charged in shooting

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A Floyd County man remains in jail under a $100,000 bond, after being charged with shooting another man last week.

Thomas Tussey, 61, of David, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault on May 14. He is accused of shooting Clifford Bentley multiple times that evening.

Bentley was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police made the decision to charge Tussey after interviewing witnesses.

He is being held in the Floyd County Detention Center.
