W.Va. man charged with burglary, assault in Pike

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A West Virginia man has been indicted on charges accusing him of burglary and assault in Pike County.

Seth Mounts, 22, of Delbarton, was indicted by a grand jury on Aug. 24 and arrested on Sunday. The indictment accuses him of breaking into the Extra Mile gas station in South Williamson and assaulting a man inside.

He is now charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree assault. The burglary charge is punishable by 10-to-20 years in prison, while the assault charge carries a potential sentence of 5-to-10 years.

Mounts is being held in the Pike County jail on a $30,000 cash bond.
