PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Two juveniles suffered gunshot wounds, following a shooting Tuesday near Pikeville.

Kentucky State Police responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting at Ray’s Branch, off of the Left Fork of Island Creek. When they arrived, they found the youths had been shot by another teen.

The victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The shooter was taken into custody on charges of first-degree assault, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a minor. The suspect was lodged in the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center.
