PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County woman accused of child sex crimes is scheduled to appear in federal court on Tuesday.

Kena Reed, 27, of Pinson Fork, is scheduled to be arraigned on charges of child sex trafficking, transporting a minor across state lines for sex, and producing and distributing child pornography.

Reed is accused of trading sex videos of herself and the minor for drugs.

The alleged plot was uncovered by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office back in September. Deputies investigating the theft of more than 5,000 pills from the South Williamson Food City uncovered evidence that Reed was allegedly trading sexually explicit photos and videos of herself and the minor for drugs.

At that time, Reed and 31-year-old Jacob West were charged with human trafficking and other crimes.

She will appear in court at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
