County clerk’s offices across Kentucky are reporting widespread computer problems affecting vehicle licensing and transfers.
Letcher County Clerk Winston Meade announced Thursday morning in a Facebook post that his office was incapable of doing anything vehicle-related.
Over in Floyd County, the staff there said the problem is hit-and-miss, with some functions working and others not. Then a few minutes later, the situation could be reversed.
Both offices advise anyone needing to do business with any clerk’s office in the state to call ahead to see if the system is operational before making a trip.
