ABINGDON, Va. — A Wise County man has pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge, after police found drugs hidden on him during a traffic stop.

Wesley Dylan Ramos, 31, of Wise, was pulled over for DUI in Norton back in February. When he was searched after his arrest, police found a sock containing meth, cocaine and pills stuffed down the front of his pants.

As they continued to investigate, police discovered the pills were meth and that Ramos had been selling them as “a new form” of the drug. Multiple confidential sources also told police Ramos had been selling large amounts of meth and other drugs since as far back as 2010.

A month later, police arrested him again, this time finding him with more than 285 grams of meth.

Ramos has now pleaded guilty to possession of more than 50 grams of meth with the intent to distribute. Because he has a previous conviction for distributing drugs in Dickenson County back in 2018, he now faces a sentence ranging from a mandatory minimum of 10 years all the way to life in prison when he is sentenced in December.
