ASHLAND, Ky. — Ashland Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman wanted on criminal charges and a missing 2-month-old.
Kayla Simpson, 27, and baby Mylee are both from Pike County. Police say Simpson left a facility on Central Avenue in Ashland with the child shortly after 11 p.m. Monday.
Simpson has been charged with custodial interference and wanton endangerment, and a judge has issued a warrant for her arrest.
Simpson is described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, with black hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans and a royal blue shirt. Her upper lip is pierced on the left.
A light colored pickup truck was seen traveling the wrong way on Central Avenue around the same time Simpson left with the child.
