VIRGIE, Ky. — A Pike County woman is dead, following a crash Monday evening.

It happened just after 6 p.m. on Penny Highway, at Virgie. Kentucky State Police says Susan Belcher was driving a 2013 Jeep Cherokee along the road, when she crossed the center line and struck a 2017 Kia Sorento driven by Mina Pinson, 78, of Harrison Newsome Branch.

Pinson died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
