WHITESBURG, Ky. — A Letcher County man is being held on sex abuse and other charges, following an incident at a restaurant last week.
Police were called to the establishment Thursday afternoon, over a report of a man harassing an employee.
When police arrived, they spotted the suspect — 21-year-old Jose Contreras — standing outside. When they attempted to talk to him, he tried to run away, but he was stopped with a taser.
The restaurant employee told police Contreras exposed himself to her, then tried to grab her and push her into the kitchen. She said she used the door of the kitchen to push him away, then locked him outside.
Contreras is now charged with sex abuse, indecent exposure, fleeing police and other charges.
