
WELCH, W.Va. — Three more people have been have been arrested as part of a drug conspiracy stretching from McDowell County, W.Va., to Wise County, Va.
Charles John Williams, 40; Terry Alexander Headen, 25; and Taylor Shannell Headen, 22, all of Welch, W.Va., were arrested Thursday and charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute meth. Williams and Taylor Headen are also each charged with distributing a controlled substance.
The three are accused of selling pound quantities of meth and ounce quantities of fentanyl from a home in Welch. Investigators accuse the three of being the source for five Wise County residents and a Kentucky man who were arrested earlier this year.
Those six include:
- Stephen Stewart, of Appalachia, Va.
- Eric Mullins, of Appalachia, Va.
- Gerald McCoy, of Coeburn, Va.
- Danny Dearry, of Coeburn, Va.
- Lisa Poole, of Big Stone Gap, Va.
- Jonathan Lake, of Artemus, Ky.
Mullins, McCoy, Poole, and Lake have all pleaded guilty to conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute and distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. Mullins further pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute fentanyl, as well as an additional methamphetamine charge.
Williams and the Headens are currently being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail at Abingdon.
