ASHLAND, Ky. — A Pike County man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge for threatening Judge-Executive Ray Jones over social media.

Ronald Ferguson Jr., of Elkhorn City, made several posts on Facebook threatening to kill or injure Jones in February.

In his signed plea agreement, Ferguson admitted making Facebook videos vowing to “hunt” Jones down and threatening to shoot him on the courthouse steps.

Ferguson will face up to five years in prison when he is sentenced March 16.
