PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Investigators have kept very quiet regarding the murder of Amber Spradlin, 38, of Prestonsburg, since her body was found 10 days ago.

So far, police have only confirmed that her body was found at a home on Arkansas Creek, without giving the specific address, and that they suspect foul play, without releasing the cause of death.

But now, more information may soon be made public, as her family plans a press conference to discuss the case tomorrow.

In an announcement of the event, attorney Mark Wohlander confirms information that is already widely known in Floyd County, that Spradlin died at the home of local dentist Dr. Michael McKinney. He notes that the family has questions about who was at the home at the time of her death.

The family is also seeking answers about how the Prestonsburg 911 center handled calls about the incident, as well as the fiscal court’s decision to transfer county calls from Kentucky State Police to the city of Prestonsburg.

Mountain Top News will be at the press conference and will bring you full details afterward.
