PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The city of Pikeville is working with Jones Oil for a collection effort to help Buchanan County flood victims.

A trailer will be positioned at fire station #1 on Chloe Road to accept donations of cleaning supplies, household items, non-perishable food and other items, starting Saturday and running until Monday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

A heavy downpour Tuesday resulted in widespread flooding along the Dismal River, damaging more than 100 homes.
