PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The final defendant charged in a Johnson County meth conspiracy has signaled his intention to enter a guilty plea.

Aaron Tyler Welch, 30, of Van Lear, was indicted back in September along with Samantha Nichole Daniels, 36, of Nippa, with federal charges of conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth and possession with the intent to distribute.

Daniels pleaded guilty back in January to the conspiracy charge. She will be sentenced later this month

Now, Welch is set to do the same. In a signed plea agreement filed with his motion, Welch admits to buying multiple pounds of meth and reselling it to users and dealers in Johnson County.

A judge has scheduled a hearing Thursday for Welch to enter his guilty plea.

Both defendants face a potential prison sentence ranging from 10 years to life.
