AUXIER, Ky. — A Floyd County man was arrested over the weekend, after police say he made threats against the post office and one of its workers.
Prestonsburg Police and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jonathan Joseph Howell, 43, of Auxier, on two counts of terroristic threatening Saturday evening.
The arrest warrant alleges he texted a postal employee, saying he would be going to the post office to “shoot it up.” The warrant also says he texted another threat to the employee, threatening to burn his house down and kill him and his family.
Howell will appear in court Friday for a preliminary hearing. He is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.
