ABINGDON, Va. — A Wise County man has signed a plea agreement admitting to a federal drug charge.

Michael Paul Large, 47, of Coeburn, is charged with conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute more than 500 grams of meth.
He was arrested in May after leading police on a chase in a car and on foot. After he was arrested, police found more than a pound of meth in his car and more than 8-thousand dollars in his pocket.
The following month, police used a confidential informant to buy 13 grams of meth from him for $325.
In an interview with police, he admitted to selling meth he got from a source. He said he usually bought 4 ounces or less, but had bought more than a pound on at least two occasions.
Large is facing a lengthy prison term, as he will be subject to a sentence enhancement due to a previous conviction for drug trafficking.
No hearing has yet been set for him to formally enter his plea.
