LOGAN, W.Va. — One day after the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help in identifying a man caught on camera stealing tires from a garage, a suspect was arrested.
The sheriff’s office was looking for a man who stole four tires from A&B Garage at East Kermit on Wednesday, then fled in a truck across the river to Kentucky. Thursday evening, Robert Music, 53, of Inez, was arrested in Logan County by West Virginia State Police on a charge of grand larceny in connection with the incident.
In February of 2015, Music was convicted of burglary, theft and other charges in Lawrence County, and sentenced to 12 years. He was released on shock probation three months later.
He is now being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail in Holden, on a $10,000 bond.
