PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Floyd County man currently jailed on federal drug and gun charges has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

Joshua Vajda, 35, of Harold, was arrested in September, after Kentucky State Police made an undercover buy from him, then executed a search warrant at his home and seized more than a pound of meth and six guns.
He is now scheduled to enter a guilty plea next week.
A copy of his plea agreement shows he intends to plead guilty to possession of more than 500 grams of meth with the intent to distribute and use of a firearm in a drug trafficking crime.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors have agreed to drop two other charges for distributing meth and felon in possession of a firearm.
The drug charge carries a sentence ranging from 10 years to life in prison. The gun charge carries a sentence of between five years and life in prison, but by law must run consecutive to the drug sentence, meaning the minimum sentence he could receive is 15 years.
Vajda is currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
