PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — One Floyd County man is dead and another has been charged with murder, following a stabbing early Monday morning.

Police were called to home on State Road Fork just outside of Prestonsburg around 3:30 Monday morning. There, they found Joshua Holbrook, 28, of Prestonsburg, dead.

Holbrook had been stabbed several times.

Following an investigation, Kentucky State Police arrested Danny Waddles, 29, of Prestonsburg, and charged him with murder.

Waddles is currently being held in the Floyd County Detention Center.
