Legal aid available for Kentuckians affected by COVID-19

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Officials have announced a website and phone number have been established for Kentucky residents who are seeking civil legal aid amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

This aid is available for qualifying Kentucky residents who are experiencing a civil legal problem caused by the coronavirus or has an issue which has been made worse by the virus.

For more information or to see if you qualify for said aid, call 833-540-0342 to speak with the legal aid program serving your specific county.

Assistance can also be provided through the program’s website.

The legal aid phone line and website have been provided by Kentucky’s Access to Justice Commission and the four Kentucky civil legal aid programs, which include Legal Aid Society, AppalRed Legal Aid, Kentucky Legal Aid and Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, a statement from the Legal Aid Society said.
