
ABINGDON, Va. — A Wise County man now faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison, after a federal judge accepted his guilty plea to drug charges.
James Thomas Green, 41, pleaded guilty conspiracy and distributing more than 500 grams of meth between February of 2022 and March of this year. He admitted to working with others to distribute meth and supply other dealers in Wise County.
Court records do not specify exactly how much meth was involved, except that it was between 11 and 33 lbs.
Sentencing is now set for Sept. 20. Each charge is punishable by up to life in prison, with a mandatory minimum of 10 years for each count.
