
PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Funeral arrangements have been set for the first two officers killed after they came under fire by a man barricaded inside his home Thursday night.
Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputy William Petry, 60, and Prestonsburg Police Capt. Ralph Frasure, 60, were shot and killed during the standoff. Lance Storz, 49, who recently moved to Allen, is in jail, charged with their murders.
Services will be held for Petry at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, at the Mountain Arts Center, in Prestonsburg. Visitation will be held at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, in Martin, beginning at 6 p.m., Sunday, July 3, and at 10 a.m., Monday, July 4. His full obituary can be found here.
Frasure’s funeral will take place at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, at Mountain Arts Center, with visitation beginning at 6 p.m., Monday, and at 10 a.m., Tuesday. His full obituary can be found here.
Services for the third victim, Prestonsburg Police Officer and K9 Handler Jacob Chaffins, who died Friday evening, have not yet been announced.
