Hawks Get Four in Double Figures in Win Over Warriors

The Pike Central Hawks pulled away late to secure a 67-54 win over the East Ridge Warriors on Monday night.

Pike Central had four players reach double figures, with senior Owen Bowman leading the way with a strong double-double performance. Bowman finished the night with 20 points and 15 rebounds, setting the tone on both ends of the floor.

William Rowe followed with 15 points, while Colton Ratliff added 13 and Bobby Biliter chipped in 11 to round out the balanced scoring effort.

Bowman was efficient from the field, shooting 69.2 percent and going 2-for-3 at the free-throw line. Rowe shot 55.6 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from three-point range and finished 4-for-6 from the line. Ratliff connected on 54.5 percent of his shots, missed his three attempts from deep, but was perfect at the free-throw line. Biliter shot 40 percent from the field and was perfect from beyond the arc.

As a team, the Hawks shot 52.8 percent from the field, 44.4 percent from three-point range and 70 percent from the free-throw line. Pike Central also controlled the glass, finishing with 43 rebounds.

Statistics for East Ridge were not available at press time.

The win improves Pike Central to 15-7 on the season. The Hawks will be back in action Thursday, Feb. 12, when they travel to Belfry for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff.

East Ridge dropped to 8-15 with the loss and will look to bounce back tonight, Feb. 10, when they travel to Prestonsburg for a 7:30 p.m. start.
