HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Logan punches ticket to state tournament

Logan completed its post-season comeback as the Wildcats beat Point Pleasant for the second straight time, winning the Class AA, Region IV baseball championship, 10-0, at Roger Gertz Field on Wednesday night.

The Wildcats improved to 25-6 and advanced to the state tournament next week in Charleston.

Winning pitcher Jarron Glick scattered three hits and struck out six.

Dawson Maynard had two extra base hits, scored twice, and knocked in two runs while Jake Ramey added three hits, including a double, and batted in three runs. Konner Lowe singled twice, walked twice, and drove in a pair of runs. Garrett Williamson singled in one run and scored.
