Louisa man accused of pointing shotgun at homes during drug-induced psychosis

LOUISA, Ky. — A Lawrence County man has been arrested on multiple counts of wanton endangerment, after allegedly pointing a shotgun at two homes while in a drug-induced psychotic state.

Deputies were called Saturday evening to the Left Fork of Little Blaine Creek. There, they told showed a video of Scott Anthony Hayes, 26, of Louisa, getting out of his truck with a shotgun, waving it at his wife’s home and exhibiting erratic movements. Three people were in the home at the time. He later pointed the gun at his mother-in-law’s house and made an obscene gesture.

His wife told police that Hayes is a meth user and she believed him to be experiencing psychosis.

Hayes was later found at a Louisa gas station and arrested on three counts of wanton endangerment. The shotgun was found inside his truck.
