East Ridge opened the high school volleyball season with a 3-0 win over Prestonsburg in a match played on the Reservation on Monday night.

Kierstin Coleman had six kills and six digs in the 25-18, 25-15, and 25-22 win. Courtlin Phillips finished with 15 digs and Sarah Woods had 15 assists, three digs, and two serving aces.

Floyd Central beat Lawrence County, 3-0, winning 25-7, 25-9, and 25-18

Jenkins beat June Buchanan in five sets, 3-2, winning 15-25, 25-23, 25-22, 19-25, and 16-14

Johnson Central blanked Knott Central, 3-0, winning 25-23, 25-21, and 25-17.
