Thousands of people turned out Sunday night to the East Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville for “Hope for the Mountains”.

“Hope for the Mountains” was a one-day evangelistic event held by the Kentucky Baptist Convention. Churches throughout the state attended the event that featured evangelist Jon Reed, the Jason Lovins Band, Jason Stewart, and Amy Compston. A choir made up of more than 500 people sang songs of worship.

Since the event also coincided with Veterans Day, all US military veterans in the audience were recognized.
