PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County man has been arrested after police received a complaint that he had nude pictures of a child on his phone.
Paintsville Police investigated the complaint against Josh Ray Francis, 39, of Paintsville, after being told he had received nude pictures of a 12-year-old through Snapchat and Facebook Messenger.
When police questioned Francis, he gave them access to his phone, where they found more pictures and text messages between him and the 12-year-old.
Francis is now charged with using an electronic device to induce sexual activity by a minor. The charge is a Class B felony, punishable by 10-to-20 years in prison, if he is convicted.
He is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
