Johnson man plans to plead guilty in Floyd bank robbery

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County man is now expected to plead guilty to robbing a a Floyd County bank back in 2021.

Jeffery Mullins, 62, of Hager Hill, is charged with one count of bank robbery in federal court. He is accused of holding up the Community Trust Bank branch in Allen in August of 2021.



Court records indicate the robber got away with more than $16,000.

On Thursday, his attorney filed a motion seeking a hearing to allow him to plead guilty, saying he has worked out a plea deal with prosecutors. A judge granted the request and scheduled a hearing for next Wednesday.
