STAFFORDSVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County woman is in jail, after deputies responding to a domestic disturbance encountered a man covered in blood when they arrived.

Deputies were called to a home on Stafford Cemetery Road Tuesday night, and found a man rolling out the door, bleeding from his head, neck and arms when they arrived. The man said he had told his girlfriend — 43-year-old Cindy Risner — he was leaving and she “went off,” beating him and strangling him.

Officers went inside the home and found broken glass and broken furniture throughout the house. They also spoke to Risner’s daughter, who corroborated the boyfriend’s story to police.

Risner was arrested for strangulation, assault, menacing, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
