PIKEVILLE, KY — The 2018 KCTCS & Verizon  STEM Camp for girls at Big Sandy Community and Technical School’s Pikeville Campus is winding down today with a camp project showcase. Campers are middle school-aged girls from around the region who are interested in STEM studies and entrepreneurship. Camp leaders say that, not only is the camp about about learning and having fun, it’s also a way to prepare girls in this area for future high-demand careers. Polly Hopkins has the story.
