Kentucky reports more than 12,000 COVID cases over weekend

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky saw more than 12,000 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, bringing the total to more than 303,000.

Fifty-eight more Kentuckians have died, raising the death toll to 2,901.

More than 1,700 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, including 380 in intensive care and 212 on ventilators.

The state’s positivity rate is currently 12.45 percent.
