PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Knott County man has been sentenced to nearly 25 years in prison, after pleading guilty to federal drug charges.

Tony Minor, 45, of Pippa Passes, pleaded guilty back in August to possession of meth and fentanyl with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime.

In his plea agreement he admitted to running away from a traffic stop last February. When he was caught, police found him with more than 100 grams of meth repackaged for sale in nine plastic bags. A search of his home that day turned up more than 40 grams of fentanyl.

On Tuesday, in U.S. District Court in Pikeville, a federal judge sentenced him to 298 months in prison.
