LOUISA, Ky. — A Lawrence County man has been arrested, nearly a year after being indicted on for sex abuse.

Eddie West, 68, of Louisa, was arrested on Thursday. He was indicted last September on a single count of first-degree sexual abuse.

Details of the case were not immediately available, except that the alleged victim was younger than 12.

West is currently being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville on a $10,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 14 for arraignment.
