
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Letcher County woman has been indicted on drug-trafficking charges in U.S. District Court in Pikeville.
Joanna Davis, 37, of Whitesburg, is charged with distributing meth, distributing more than 50 grams of meth, and possession of more than 50 grams of meth with the intent to distribute.
If convicted, the two charges dealing with 50 grams of meth carry sentences with a mandatory minimum of five years up to 40 years in prison.
Davis is currently being held in the Letcher County jail, where she is charged with meth trafficking and persistent felony offender.
She is scheduled to appear in court March 22.
