Levisa Fork Paddlefest to set sail on Saturday, June 27 in Prestonsburg

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (MTN) — The Levisa Fork Paddlefest will begin this weekend, June 27 at River Park, located behind Billy Ray’s Restaurant in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

The 8-mile trek downstream starts at the restaurant and will come out at Combs Airport, where shuttle service will be provided to transport attendees and their kayak back to River Park.

There is a $15 registration fee which includes both the shuttle service and a catered lunch.

“This is the perfect water excursion for both beginners and experienced kayakers, alike,” states Samantha Johnson, the Executive Director of Prestonsburg Tourism. “You can bring your own kayak or rent one, whatever floats your boat!”

Registration will begin at 8:30 am with boats hitting the water starting at 9:00 am.
