Logan man indicted on federal drug, gun charges

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A Logan County man has been indicted in federal court on charges of possessing meth and more than 40 grams of fentanyl, with the intention of distributing them.

Thomas Matthew Blankenship is accused of possessing the drugs back on June 10. And despite previous felony convictions, he is also accused of possessing a handgun in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Blankenship is not currently in custody. Following his indictment, a judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
