PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man who was arrested on drug charges in Magoffin County last year has now seen his case moved up to federal court.

Robert Pilgrim, 35, was arrested in August of 2023 and charged with trafficking in meth, fentanyl and cocaine. His case remained at a standstill until this past June, when he was indicted by a grand jury.

But on Thursday, a federal grand jury indicted him on a charge of possessing more than 500 grams of meth with the intent to distribute.

If convicted, he would face a sentence ranging from a minimum of 10 years all the way up to life.
