PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County mother called police after her teenage son was sold a bag of brown powder.
That call resulted in another mother and her daughter going to jail for drug trafficking.
Police responding to the call went to Budget Inn, where Jennifer Fletcher, 43, and Ayrickah Fletcher, 19, both of Salyersville, were staying.
After talking to the two women, police were given permission to search the room, which resulted in the discovery of 21 grams of fentanyl, along with small amounts of other drugs and several types of paraphernalia.
Both women were arrested for fentanyl trafficking and other charges.
