SALYERSVILLE, Ky. — An attempt to serve a warrant resulted in two Magoffin County residents being arrested on drug-trafficking charges.
Deputies went to the home of 33-year-old Matthew Sparks, of Salyersville, early Friday morning, to serve a warrant out of Morgan County. When they arrived, they spotted needles and a plastic bag containing white powder in plain view.
A search of the home turned up heroin, meth and marijuana, along with two guns, scales and cash in denominations police say is consistent with drug activity.
Sparks and 32-year-old Jennifer Clark were arrested on drug trafficking and possession charges. Sparks is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
