PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pikeville man was arrested, after showing up at the police station and pulling a gun.

According to court records, Keene Johnson, 42, allegedly went to the Pikeville Police station just after 9:30 Friday morning and tried to get inside. The station is closed to the public due to COVID-19, but police say Johnson continued to knock and pull on the locked door.

When an officer answered the door, Johnson reportedly told him that people were following him and trying to kill him.

The officer noted Johnson appeared to be under the influence of drugs and asked him if he had anything illegal in his possession. Johnson then allegedly pulled a loaded handgun from his shirt and refused to drop it when ordered to by police.

The officer was able to knock the gun to the ground and place Johnson under arrest.
