MARTIN, Ky. — A Floyd County man was arrested after he allegedly showed up on someone’s porch in his underwear, waving a shotgun.

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home on Cane Fork Road, where the residents reported that 30-year-old Jordan Ward, of Martin, knocked at their door in only his underwear and a blanket, saying he had been “beat to death.” However, when he turned, the occupants of the home saw he was holding a shotgun, so they locked the door and told him to leave.

When deputies arrived, they found Ward in the back seat of a car, wrapped in the blanket, with the shotgun in the seat beside him. The gun was loaded, with the hammer cocked.

Ward was arrested on charges of wanton endangerment, trespassing and public intoxication, as well as an outstanding warrant.
