ELKHORN CITY, Ky. — An Elkhorn City man is in jail, after police say he got into a scuffle with officers eradicating marijuana plants behind his home.
A Kentucky State Police marijuana suppression team was cutting down 15 plants behind a home on Blair Highway, when they say 52-year-old Jeffrey Coleman ripped off his back door in an attempt to make contact with police.
When officers tried to arrest him, he allegedly kicked a state trooper multiple times.
Coleman is charged with assaulting an officer, cultivating marijuana and other charges.
